मराठी शिवसंस्कृती, मराठी संगीत प्रतिपदेच्या चंद्राप्रमाने अमेरीकेमध्ये वाढत जावे या उद्देशाने ‘शिवमुद्रा’ ढोल ताशा पथकाचा वॉशिंग्टन डीसी येथे जन्म झाला. अल्पकाळातच पथकाची भरभराट होऊन पथकाच्या सदस्यांची संख्या ५० हुन जस्त झाली.
पारंपरिक संगीताच्या धाग्याने डीसी क्षेत्रामधील मराठी संस्कृती जोपासणे हेच शिवमुद्रा डीसी ढोल ताशा पथकाचे स्वप्न आहे. मराठी संस्कृती व परंपरामधे रुची असणाऱ्या सर्वांचे शिवमुद्रा डीसी पथकामद्धे स्वागत आहे. शिवमद्रा ढोल ताशा पथकामद्धे ढोल – ताशा बरोबरच झांज, लेझीम, ध्वज अशा पारंपरिक मराठी वाद्यांचा संवाद आहे.
The 'Shivamudra' Dhol Tasha Pathak was born in Washington DC with the aim of promoting Marathi Culture and Marathi Traditional music in America. In very short time the team flourished and Shivmudra family reached to 50 members.
The dream of Shivmudra DC Dhol Tasha team is to cultivate Marathi culture in DC area with the thread of traditional music. All those who are interested in Marathi culture and tradition are welcome at Shivamudra DC.
Shivamadra Dhol Tasha Pathak includes traditional Marathi instruments such as Dhol – Tasha, Zanj, Lezeem and Dhawj.
